Our Business

NASCO is a limited liability corporation created in 1987 to provide a national claims processing solution to BlueCross and BlueShield Plans across the United States. Today, the NASCO solution supports state and large local accounts, individual and small group accounts, national accounts, labor accounts, and the Federal Employee Program (FEP). The NASCO Processing System (NPS) operates through a unique single-site processing system which provides consistent claims adjudication through centralized benefits for employees no matter where they live, work or travel. The NPS also allows them to take advantage of local Blue Plan provider discounts.

Over our history, NASCO has evolved from solely focusing on national accounts into a single-system solution that is capable of serving a Plan's entire book of business. We have grown from being a shared claims processing solution to a company centered on providing customized solutions that maximize system and human performance, resulting in a reduced total cost of ownership for Plan customers.

Our single system controls account membership, claims, customer service, client services, account reporting, and eServicing. Customer Plans benefit because the NASCO system is custom-designed and implemented for each of their specific business needs.
